While your overall health is dependent in part on your dental health, we also believe that everyone’s dental health is unique. The best services are the ones that fit your individual needs. That’s why Dr. Ross carefully listens to what your concerns about your dental health and suggests treatments based on your needs. You can learn more about the services we offer by reading below.
Tooth Whitening
In the last few years, tooth whitening or bleaching has become popular and it’s no wonder. If you’ve seen anyone flash a dazzlingly, bright smile, you know the results can be breath-taking.
Our practice offers two types of whitening. The first, Zoom II, is a light-activated bleaching system that whitens your teeth in a single appointment. We also offer the UltraDent at home whitening system, which uses bleaching trays, specially created to fit your mouth, and UltraDent’s special bleaching solution to whiten your teeth at home.
Before we recommend Zoom II or UltraDent, however, Dr. Ross needs to examine your teeth to find out which procedure is right for you. You can schedule an appointment by calling 404-892-2097.

Tooth Colored Fillings
If you had a cavity years ago, your dentist probably filled it with a metal or amalgam material. At the time, this was the safest and most effective way to fill a tooth. Unfortunately, dental health professionals didn’t realize until recently that metal and amalgam fillings can cause a variety of problems, including gum irritation and mercury poisoning.
At our practice, Dr. Ross fills all cavities with composite resin, a strong, durable material that looks and acts just like your natural teeth. We can even replace your existing fillings with this material so you can have natural tooth colored fillings.
If you’re interested in having your older fillings replaced with tooth colored fillings, talk to Dr. Ross. He can discuss how these fillings may benefit you.

Veneers and Bonding
|
If there is something you don’t like about your smile, Dr. Ross can usually correct the problem by applying a porcelain veneer or an in office bonding. Dr. Ross may use veneers or bonding to make your teeth appear larger, straighter, or more uniform. If your teeth have tough, bleach-resistant stains, Dr. Ross may also use veneers to cover the stains and whiten your teeth.
Depending on what aspect of your smile you’d like to change, Dr. Ross may recommend a variety of different types of veneers. Before he can prescribe one, however, he will examine your mouth and discuss the procedure with you.

NTI-TSS
If you suffer from constant headaches or migraines, the problem may be in your mouth. Researchers believe that one of the causes of migraines may be unconscious clenching or teeth-grinding. When you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep, the muscles in your scalp may become tender or sore, leading to headaches or migraines during the day.
If you suffer from headaches or migraines, Dr. Ross may recommend the NTI-TSS device. A tiny clear mouthpiece, this device is worn on your front teeth to prevent your back molars from clenching and grinding. The NTI-TSS device also can correct problems caused by temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), a condition that occurs when the hinge connecting your lower and upper jaws isn’t functioning properly.
If Dr. Ross notices a problem during our comprehensive examination, he may recommend the NTI-TSS device with you and discuss the treatment process.

Dentures/Partials
You may not realize it but your mouth is in perfect balance. Each tooth is supported by the teeth on either side and your top teeth are matched to the teeth right below them. When you lose teeth, this balance is also lost. Dentures and partial dentures can help restore some of the balance in your mouth.
When you visit our practice to replace missing teeth, Dr. Ross will examine your mouth and fit you for dentures. He works with Georgia Dental Lab, one of the best labs in the country, to create life-like dentures that are customized to your mouth.
Since dentures and partials go through a lot of wear and tear, Dr. Ross recommends that you replace them every three years. If you’re living with older dentures, we can help you have a natural-looking smile with new dentures. |

Dental Implants
Dental implants are another alternative to dentures or living with gaps in your smile. With implants, Dr. Ross places a small titanium cylinder in your jaws. The cylinder acts like tooth roots and can permanently hold a single crown, bridge, or denture in your mouth. Since dental implants are permanent and can’t be removed, you can talk, eat, laugh, and smile as you did with your natural teeth.
If you think dental implants may be right for you, talk to Dr. Ross. He can discuss the benefits of this treatment and create the appropriate treatment plan for you.

- Crown lengthening, a procedure that reshapes gums and bone tissue, can correct a “gummy” smile.

We have a digital imaging system so we can show you how a particular treatment can enhance your smile. No matter what your age, we can help you have the smile you’ve always wanted.

Periodontal Disease
 |
When we examine our patients’ mouths, many are surprised to learn they have periodontal disease (also called gum disease). With this condition, bacteria irritate the gums, causing them to pull away from the teeth and the roots. While the disease isn’t painful until the later stages, it can cause permanent tooth loss. Worse, it has also been related to a variety of conditions such as stroke, heart attack, and diabetes.
Thankfully, periodontal disease can be treated and the damage stopped in the early stages when you schedule regular check-ups and cleanings. If you have periodontal disease, Dr. Ross can provide gentle, effective periodontal therapy to help you maintain your health. |

Crowns/Bridges
If you have cracks or fractures, gaps, or misshapen teeth, Dr. Ross may recommend either crowns or bridges to restore your smile. A crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that completely covers the natural tooth to just below the gum line. A bridge is a set of composite teeth that are used to replace your missing natural teeth.
Before a crown or bridge can be seated or applied, our team will create impressions of your teeth in order to create the crown or bridge. Our lab will use this to construct the device. When the crown is complete, we’ll place the crown or bridge, make minor adjustments to fit it and then re-polish and cement it in your mouth. You’ll be able to walk out of our office and eat, drink, laugh, and smile just as you would with normal teeth.

Trauma
Accidents happen everyday. If you lose your teeth due to trauma, Dr. Ross can help you. First, he takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable and out of pain. Then, he examines your mouth, noting areas of damage. From there, he can provide a combination of services to restore your smile to the way it used to be.

Sports Dentistry
Your mouth can withstand a lot of wear and tear, but all it takes is one good knock to crack or break your teeth. If you play a regular sport, such football, hockey, or even gymnastics, you risk damaging your teeth. That’s why Dr. Ross recommends mouth guards for all athletes. He can custom create ones that feel comfortable in your mouth, while protecting your teeth from damage.
